Step 2: Eat & Drink Healthy

We will serve healthy meals, snacks and beverages at our gatherings.

Youth organizations feed the children and youth they serve in many different ways.  Some groups serve meals to large numbers of youth on a regular basis, akin to a school. In other programs, particularly those involving one-on-one mentoring, meals are not served, but might be shared in a restaurant.

In central Indiana, the leading youth-serving organizations have adopted the national Healthy Eating Physical Activity (“HEPA”) standards as best practice guidelines for their programs. Here are some resources to help you implement healthy food and drink choices:
