We will support policies to ensure that children and their families have safe and accessible places to be active and play.

Community partners are working to to create public spaces that are safe, accessible to all, and well-designed to promote physical activity. Here are just some of the initiatives under way in central Indiana that address Jump IN priorities for more active communities:

Health By Design, creating built environments that foster healthy living. Health by Design supports the Indiana Safe Routes to School Partnership and Complete Streets Coalition
City and county parks departments in the 8-county region
Municipal and regional planning offices, and active transportation initiatives such as Indy Connect
